Glass Jewelry Designs

My first professional design work was actually in jewelry, while I was still in college. Making jewelry is still my favorite rainy day hobby, and while I do not crank my darlings out on an industrial scale any more, I am always happy to take commissions.

Some of these designs are inspired by styles on antiquity, some are experiments with various techniques, and some are all my own.

Long red and silver earrings. A favorite, and a design of my very own. The long, twisted silver beads give this style a very distinctive look.
This look was inspired, believe it or not, by a book I read about Coelecanths. (the ancient fish) The color and shape remind me of the coelecanth's tail.
These were a special order to match a costume for the Renaissance Faire!
Smoky Belly Dance Earrings.   These were designed to match a set of costumes for a traditional Egyptian dance recital. The colors are inspired by a smoky fire.
Red and black Minoan earrings.   This design was inspired by a Minoan mural. No one is really sure what's happening in the mural, but the ladies are all wearing clothing with unusually angular decorations.
The Black Prism earrings.   The prisms! These are a lot of fun, the crystals are heavier than the glass jewels and they move beautifully.
Green and silver beaded lace.   The beaded lace! This stuff can really get our of control, and if woven too thick or long will actually stand up on its own!
The Garnet Collar.
The Chrsoberyl Collar.
The Gemstone collars. This is a modification of the Xs design, with the beadwork toned down to show off the gem stones.
Blue and silver Xs necklace.
Green and gold Xs necklace.
The X's! This is a popular design at colleges. It rides high on the neck, as is the fashion now, and the open spaces make it an economical design.
Blue and gold egyptian weave necklace.   Another design intended for an Egyptian dancer. This one is inspired directly by ancient Egyptian jewelry technique.
The Snowflake Hearts.
Purple and faceted black heart necklace.
Red and gray with crystals necklace.
The most luscious of all the designs, the beaded hearts! This style feels wonderful around the neck, the woven beads are soft with an almost living texture. This style works with almost any color combination.
The silver heart and earring set   Matched sets are available for most designs, so all your parts can sparkle together!
